Blees Park

This park, located next to the historic Round House and the Don Schelle Ballfield Complex, features a play structure, monkey bars, a slide, and a small fishing pond with a handicap-accessible dock (no swimming).


Don Schelle Ball Field Complex

Located in Blees Park at the south end of Macon, next to the Round House and Long Branch Area YMCA. The YMCA manages this facility.  Please call 660-385-1818 for information or to reserve the fields.


Greenbriar Park

Located in the Englewood area, this park features a playground with swings, a play structure, and a merry-go-round, plus a basketball court and benches.


Jackson Street Park

Macon’s largest park, located on Jackson Street, offers a large playground with swings, a merry-go-round, a balance beam, and play horses, plus benches, a basketball court, two picnic shelters, restrooms, a BBQ pit, and off-street parking.


Macon Lake Park

From Macon, take Highway 63 north 1 mile, then Lake Street west 1 mile. Turn south onto Macon Lake Road and follow the road along the east side of the lake until you reach the park area. There are parking areas and access points along Macon Lake Road.

Located on the northeast edge of the city, this 240-acre lakeside park features a playground, picnic shelters, BBQ pits, and a boat ramp, with camping available on Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day by reservation through Macon Municipal Utilities (660-385-3173). The lake provides the community a reservoir for fishing, boating, and picnicking.

Skateboard Park

The skate park is open from 8:00 a.m. to dusk (closed in bad weather) and features rails, ramps, and a quarter pipe; skateboards and inline skates are allowed, protective gear is required, and no supervision, alcohol, tobacco, food, or drinks are permitted.

The Macon Municipal Pool, which opened in 2024, offers fun for all ages. Features include a zero-depth entry, lap lanes, a 12-foot-deep end with a diving board, family and flume slides, a wellness/current channel, water basketball, a splash pad, and private cabanas available for rental. Seasonal admission is $5 for swimmers and $3 for observers, with punch pass and party rental options available.

Macon County Park offers tent and RV camping with full hookups (first-come, first-served) and affordable nightly rates, and hosts a variety of community events, fundraisers, car shows, horse shows, and more. Adjacent fairgrounds host the annual Macon Town & Country Fair in July, featuring a carnival, rodeo, livestock shows, and live entertainment. The park is open during daylight hours and welcomes visitors of all ages.
